The 2006 ASM Phuket staged at the Phuket Country Club last April 2006 was an invitational event organised and managed by the Thai Seniors PGA and Sanctioned and Endorsed by the Thai Seniors PGA the Asian Seniors Tour and the Asian Champions Circuit

The top 65 Senior Professional golfers who qualified for the final day of the inaugural 2006 ASM Phuket d contestants who took part in the 2005 ASM @ Palm Resort - Johor and the AST founder members who participated in the 2003 ASM - Singapore are automatically eligible to contest future ASM tournaments.

The 2006 ASM Phuket field consisted of 170 senior professionals and will incorporate a 2 day cut, with the top 65 including ties contesting the final day. Future ASM events staged in Thailand are anticipated to be limited to a field of 120 senior professionals and will incorporate a 2 day cut, with the top 65 including ties contesting the final day
